WHO WE ARE


Sustainable Solutions Facilities Management (SSFM) is established in 2020 in answer to addressing the need for a new and sustainable approach to Facilities Management within the industry. SSFM, will deviate from old school FM principals and move to incorporate 4th Industrial Revolutionary principals coupled with the exceptional skills and experiences of a fully South African management team.

The business venture was envisaged by Dumisani Sikwayo who shared and aligned his vision with experienced business associates, in turn creating the opportunity to work in a new and sustainable way providing state of art solutions to conventional FM techniques.

The team consists of skilled and passionate individuals, all with a progressive drive and focus to make SSFM a company with a difference.

SPECIALISED ELECTRONIC SERVICES
IOT often referred to as the 'Internet of Things' (IoT), billions of smart devices are expected to come online in the coming decade, bringing with them the promise of global economic opportunities and new innovations that will transform the way we work, live, and play.
IT infrastructure refers to the composite hardware, software, network resources and services required for the existence, operation and management of an enterprise IT environment.

IT infrastructure allows an organization to deliver IT solutions and services to its employees, partners and/or customers and is usually internal to an organization and deployed within owned facilities.
Offsite monitoring eliminates the possibility of collusion, provides a failover capability, allows independent dispatching of reaction teams, removes localised risk, allows the sharing of services, and helps to keep onsite staff on their toes. Since the control room is already established there is no additional capital cost for the client.
Perimeter security also referred to as perimeter protection, is a security solution utilizing technology to secure a property’s perimeter or site from unauthorized access.

Generally speaking, perimeter security is exactly what you‘d think — security fencing and gates. However, advanced technology takes it a step further to integrate additional barriers giving you added protection and security against intrusion.
Artificial Intelligence or AI in short, is a branch of computer science which displays or simulates Human intelligence by machines or a process to make machines think intelligently.

The goal of AI is to implement Human intelligence in machines and to create smarter systems.
Substation maintenance is a process of periodic, planned inspection of and, if necessary, repair, and replacement of all switchgear, buildings, and ancillary equipment in substation installations. In simple terms, substation maintenance is a regimen of regular preventative checks and actions carried out to ensure substations are kept in good working order. This process typically consists of a series of stringent visual and physical inspections and actions carried out according to a set schedule.
Telecommunications Towers need the necessary expertise and labor for communications tower facility systems development, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and support services directly relating to communications tower facilities equipment, applications, support systems, ancillary and associated system(s) devices and/or components including wireless communications systems.
Legal & HR Compliance manage more moral, ethical and legal responsibilities than ever before.

Beyond compensation and benefits, HR teams are now tasked with challenges like fostering diversity in the workforce, addressing issues of inequality and setting standards around workplace conduct. Often, human resources ethics policies around these issues can directly impact how a company attracts and retains talent.

Project management involves the planning and organization of a company's resources to move a specific task, event, or duty towards completion. It can involve a one-time project or an ongoing activity, and resources managed include personnel, finances, technology, and intellectual property.
SSFM deploy technological solutions as far as practically possible to drive efficiencies and economies of scale.

We will drive the deployment of IoT (Internet of Things) devices to monitor and report on the status and trends of building systems and functions which in turn will drive preventative maintenance and remedial works programs.

Statistical information gathered with IoT devices will also give impetus to future proofing plant to optimise sustainability and efficiencies.

INNOVATION
SSFM will endeavour to deploy advanced electronics hardware and software to achieve management and control of processes and systems. To this end we will be deploying IOT solutions to capture machine and production processes to monitor, maintain and alert system trends and consumptions be it liquid, gas or electricity. SSFM will promote green power solutions to sustain power continuity and backup more so as we realise the frail state of electrical supply utilities.
SUSTAINABLE
SSFM being a local company built on local expertise will drive our BBBEE status to ensure that business sustainability is achieved by empowering motivated young South Africans to be future role players in our business reflecting the diversity of our Nations people. As a Level 1 BBBEE contributor, we will focus our efforts on upskilling our teams, personal and professional business development to allow SSFM to be a truly representative company of South Africa’s unique demographic.
PERFORMANCE
SSFM will manage our activities through internationally acceptable standards and norms to ensure deliverables are executed on time and to the highest SANS and International standards and workmanship. In achieving this SSFM will drive to meet work expectations within planned and achievable budgets and to promote cost saving where it is possible. SSFM will at all times provide work and project progress reports as well as schedule out maintenance activities and completions.
INTEGRITY
SSFM will maintain the highest level of business integrity in all our dealings with our clients and client representatives. We feel this is an important statement to make considering the history of our country which has been subject to massive amounts of corrupt business practices in private and state enterprises. We therefor state that we will not enter into and business transaction which may bring our company into question. We uphold the law of South Africa and are committed to honesty in all our dealings
EXCELLENCE
SSFM is grown out of two companies primarily who have strived to provide a level of excellence in all it does. To this end we will embark on a continual program of staff development in order to achieve a better client experience. Our companies and people have a personal record of service excellence and this will be driven through our service to ultimately be an advantage to our clients.
Many of our current projects and maintenance agreements are for clients where we cannot display their details and the service we offer as these are normally crucial or restricted details of their installations. In our gallery, however, are a sample of some of the projects completed and for which we have service contracts in place.
